Describe your business, nonprofit or project, and the products and/or services you offer? |
Earandco. is a lifestyle brand that caters to the woman who knows who she is. We create contemporary jewellery for people who want to stand out from the crowd. When we say “Craft for the outliers & the bold”, we truly mean it. We use polymer clay, resin, wood and metal to handcraft lightweight, colourful & often playful pieces. We never repeat or duplicate our artwork, so when you own an Earandco piece, it is yours alone. From our oversized statement pieces to our mixed stud packs, each offering is unique. Seeing someone discover their favourite accessory among our collections is one of our greatest joys. Knowing that any piece will be a gift for a special occasion is another! |
Are you Caribbean or African, or of Caribbean or African descent? If you are, please tell us details. |
Yes. I am a Caribbean national of African descent. Born in Tobago; raised in Trinidad. |
Do you think your Caribbean or African upbringing/heritage has impacted your work? If so, please explain how. |
Yes. I make wearable art for vibrant and expressive women; the Caribbean woman is this and more. I grew up around women who knew who they were and my clientele is a reflection of this. The inspiration for some my favourite collections are purely Caribbean; from Cane to Zabouca to Spice. |
How does your work positively impact culture + community? |
Our work showcases the creative possibilities of using a simple medium to help the wearer tell her story to those around her. |
How should potential customers and persons interested in networking & partnerships contact you? |
Via email or via the website |
What message of hope or inspiration would you like to share with other women in our community who are also pursuing their dreams? |
Have a goal for yourself/business that has nothing to do with financial gain. When you enter a trial period (and you inevitably will), let this goal guide you until the hard part is over. |
