Fanny Tristan is Redefining Healing for Women of Color with Her Soul Supply

Fanny Tristan knows firsthand what it means to navigate spaces where you don’t quite fit in—and how transformative it can be to reclaim your power and identity. As an Afro-Peruvian woman and founder of Her Soul Supply, she has turned her personal journey of resilience into a sanctuary for women of color seeking to heal, grow, and thrive.

Born into the 2% of Peru’s population that identifies as Afro-Peruvian, Fanny’s heritage runs deep. “I’m a descendant of my enslaved African ancestors,” she shares, adding that her family’s culture—known as criolla—has been a unifying thread even as they migrated in search of better opportunities. Today, Fanny lives in New York, where her connection to her ancestry fuels her work. “I think my work focuses specifically on creating affinity spaces for women of color because I’ve experienced firsthand what it’s like to be displaced to an environment where people don’t look like me,” she says. “That displacement impacts our self-esteem, personal values, and mental health.”

This drive to create belonging for others became the foundation of Her Soul Supply, launched in January 2024. For years, Fanny worked as a psychotherapist, helping women of color heal from trauma and heartbreak—whether romantic, familial, or otherwise. But something was missing. “Although they were benefiting from my services, I knew there were more creative ways to help them, holistically,” she explains. Her Soul Supply emerged as a solution: a space where women could connect in community, embrace self-love, and learn how to align their lives with their values.

Empowering Women of Color Through Self-Love and Community

At its core, Her Soul Supply is about breaking unhealthy cycles that weigh women down. “Women are the backbone of families and communities,” Fanny says. “By helping them thrive, society as a whole is better.” Through individual and group coaching programs, transformative retreats, and a commitment to social justice, Her Soul Supply equips women with the tools to heal, restore confidence, and step into their power.

One of Fanny’s key motivations is helping women embrace their single era. “We teach women how to make the best of their single era so they can get unstuck and feel confident about what’s next for them in their life path,” she explains. Too often, women of color face pressure to jump into new relationships after breakups, but Fanny rejects this narrative. “Women of color deserve more than to be shamed into rebounds and ‘situationships,’” she says. “They most definitely don’t deserve to heal in spaces that remind them of how they feel in the workplace—like a token.”

Her Soul Supply offers more than an escape; it provides lasting transformation. The programs are built on a foundation of social justice, supporting BIPOC-owned businesses and uplifting the communities they engage with.

A Journey Rooted in Culture and Connection

Fanny’s Afro-Peruvian heritage is integral to her work. “My family and I have been able to adopt and embrace people of the African diaspora while remaining connected to our ancestry,” she explains. She encourages her clients to celebrate their culture as a source of strength. “My heritage remains a big part of me and something I support women in celebrating as a way to harness their self-love.”

Her commitment to creating affinity spaces for women of color stems from her own experiences. “I’ve lived the effects of displacement,” she shares. “Helping women of color learn to love themselves in a world that gives them messages that they are not worthy of beauty, love, and rest is my gift back to the culture.”

Breaking Barriers and Building a Legacy

As a woman entrepreneur, Fanny has faced her share of challenges. “I grew up being the ‘strong one,’ always supporting people around me,” she says. Learning to ask for help was a necessary—and difficult—step in building Her Soul Supply. “I had to realize that growing a team would get me closer to my mission than trying to do it all alone.”

The rewards of her work far outweigh the challenges. “I love bearing witness to women stepping into their power,” Fanny says. “To see how tapping into their own beauty and strength inspires not only other women but the families that they support. This is how we break generational barriers.”

What makes Her Soul Supply stand out is its culturally rooted, holistic approach. Fanny’s programs are designed specifically for women of color, ensuring they heal in spaces where they feel truly seen and understood. Her goal is to break away from systems that undermine women’s worth, fostering peace, freedom, and confidence for every client.

Looking Ahead with Her Soul Supply

Fanny’s vision for Her Soul Supply is expansive and ambitious. By bringing women together through coaching programs and immersive retreats, she aims to create lasting change—one life at a time. “We are a haven for Black and Brown women seeking lasting change,” she says.

Her Soul Supply is more than a business; it’s a movement. “At Her Soul Supply, we believe true healing comes from breaking away from systems that undermine your worth,” Fanny emphasizes.
